Content & Scope

Provincial offences are minor non-criminal offences governed by Ontario's Provincial Offences Act. Charges under this act commonly result in fine payments but may be processed in court.

The records include copies of tickets, offence notices, summonses, and special constables' notes.

Minimum 30 days after disposition of ticket.


Secure Destruction.


Responsible Units should document the disposal/destruction of official records using the University records destruction form or equivalent documentation, to verify that we are following our records retention rules.
