Office of Research process
- Applicants must contact the relevant Hub in advance of the EOI deadline to confirm proposals align with the goals of the Hub.
- Copy Stephanie Filsinger and Yibei Zhao on EOI draft submissions so that we can conduct an administrative review in advance of each Hub's deadline.
- EOIs that require institutional approval must go through Andrew Barker prior to each Hub's EOI deadline.
- Ensure Stephanie, Yibei and Andrew are copied on your final submission to the Hub.
Application process
This funding opportunity is at Stage 2 where applications are open for research, talent development and infrastructure projects aligned with the research hubs. The selection criteria and ratings matrices for the Stage 2 competition have published on the CBRF-BRIF website.
While Waterloo is partnered with HI3 and CIEBH, applications to other three hubs are also encouraged. Waterloo has a Teams site where regular updates are provided, and documents are uploaded. Please contact Grace Gomashie to express your interest and be added to the Teams site.
