A newly renovated lab offers more opportunities for collaboration, thanks to funding through the Government of Canada’s Research Support Fund.
The Software Architecture Group (SWAG) lab in the Cheriton School of Computer Science includes updated furniture, additional desks for graduate students, two offices for PhD students, a lounge area, and increased natural light. Since the SWAG team often hosts industry partners, a new meeting room features a flat screen television, privacy panels, and furniture that can be re-configured.
Adjoining doors allow for collaboration with nearby research labs, Waterloo Formal Methods Group (WatForm) and E&CE Software Engineering Research Group (SWEN). The SWAG lab is operated by Michael Godfrey, associate professor of computer science and an expert in software architecture and software engineering research.
