BENEFITS THROUGH CURAC
College and University Retiree Associations of Canada /Associations de retraités des universités et collèges du Canada(CURAC/ARUCC) is a not-for-profit federation of more than 40 retiree associations at colleges and universities across Canada.
CURAC’s objectives are to
- coordinate activities that promote communication among member associations,
- share information,
- provide mutual assistance, and
- speak publicly on issues of concern to the more than 20,000 college and university retirees across Canada.
UWRA is an active member of CURAC, and our members (and retirees) are eligible to access the services and discount offers negotiated by CURAC/ARUCC.
Some of the partners offer a small rebate to CURAC, which is shared with the referring associations, so remember mention our association and CURAC when you purchase products or services from a partner. And every partner offers some perk to retirees!

Are You Getting Your CURAC Perks?

As a member of the UWRA, you can take advantage of the products and services of CURAC’s Affinity Partners.
More than 40 retiree associations, including the UWRA, are members of the College and University Retiree Associations of Canada (CURAC), which negotiates partnership agreements with companies and organizations on behalf of its association members and the tens of thousands of retirees they represent.
"It’s a simple and mutually beneficial arrangement: we retirees travel, buy various kinds of insurance, and probably need glasses and (maybe – according to our partners ) hearing aids. CURAC works with organizations that provide those services or products – and discounts!"
When you purchase a product of service from a CURAC partner, you help yourself, your retiree association, and CURAC. Some partners pay a rebate to CURAC, which is shared with member associations. All partners have discounts or special offers. Everyone wins.
