In accordance with governing policies established by the University of Waterloo, the University of Waterloo Retirees Association outlines how your personal contact information will be treated:
Information storage
Personal contact information is stored in a database on a secure UW cloud platform. Some of your personal information, including your contact information, may also be shared securely in communications to and from Human Resources with regard to their retiree records (e.g., name and date of retirement; current address, telephone and email contact).
The collection, storage, and disclosure of information contained in the UWRA database is consistent with the Province of Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
Privacy
Personal information is not sold or rented. It is only accessible to those UWRA board members and UW employees who require the information to execute their assigned duties and who are aware of this policy.
The UWRA website makes use of online tracking and analytics software. The information gathered through these resources enables us to analyze trends in our online traffic and to work toward continuously improving our online presence. Please see the UW website privacy statement for more details.
Staying connected with Waterloo
As a UW retiree, you have the opportunity to stay connected with Waterloo through various communication pieces. Some examples include newsletters, e-mails, magazines, surveys, and information about retiree events.
