Today, James Rush, Vice-President, Academic and Provost, announced the appointment of Professor Alexie Tcheuyap as Dean of the Faculty of Arts for a five-year term commencing 1 July 2024. Professor Tcheuyap is currently Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost, International Student Experience at the University of Toronto.

Brittany Etmanski, PhD Candidate, Sociology and Legal Studies, has been chosen as one of two speakers for GRADtalks: The Role of the University in the Modern World. 

Damian Sycz, a PhD candidate in Sociology is working with one of the largest police services in Canada as part of his dissertation research, to explore why individuals decide to become police auxiliary constables, and the ways in which police services can improve their recruitment tactics to target individuals with diverse backgrounds. 

Katie Ford is the recipient of the 2018 Warren Ober Award for Outstanding Teaching by a Graduate Student in the Faculty of Arts!!
