Area Reps meeting: What is happening in Ukraine?

As a UWSA member, you are invited to attend our monthly Area Reps meetings, even if you are not an Area Rep. The purpose of the Area Reps committee is to exchange information about current issues facing staff at UW and to keep an open line of communication between the UWSA Board of Directors, Area Reps, and all staff in general.

Join us this month to hear a presentation by Dr. Ivan Jaworsky a Professor Emeritus, Department of Political Science, University of Waterloo. His research interests include dissent and its legacies in the post-Soviet region, regional issues and inter-ethnic relations in Ukraine (with a focus on Crimea and the Crimean Tatars), and civil-military relations in Ukraine. Dr. Jaworsky is going to be speaking about "What is Happening in Ukraine?" With a focus on the impact of the current war on the domestic situation in Ukraine, and Canada’s role in facilitating Ukraine’s eventual recovery from the war.
