The UWSA is looking forward to hosting Meaghan Ross (she) from Organizational and Human Development on May 10 and 24 where she’ll facilitate two custom workshops for UWSA volunteers and employees in which we will learn how to plan, run and participate in effective meetings – both within the UWSA, and as UWSA representatives on committees working across the University.

Join your colleagues to learn from each other as we explore the governance structures of the University, where staff have power, and how you can participate.

This will be an in-person, hands-on workshop. We may provide an online version in the future.

Join our four panelists for a discussion about the role of managers in protecting and supporting work-life balance, "right to disconnect" legislation and guidelines, leveraging technology, and the day-to-day things we can all do to set ourselves up for good work-life boundaries, and protect ourselves and each other from overwork.

You can be a driving force for positive change by running for Staff Association president or the Board of Directors. In either role, you can help guide the association's work ensuring that staff voices and interests are represented across our campuses.
