Student Information Systems Program
The University of Waterloo’s Student Information System Program manages our student data, and is called Quest.
The team manages the maintenance and development of Quest as it relates to:
- Admissions processing
- Student course enrolment and grades
- Course builds and scheduling
- Awards and financial aid
- Tuition assessment
- Jan. 25, 2022
What is happening? Announced in the May 14, 2021 issue of the Daily Bulletin, Quest, the University’s student information system, will move from its current on-premises environment to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment. Much has been accomplished since this last update, and the project team is pleased to announce that the project is on track to meet the February 2022 go-live target.
- Feb. 15, 2019
As noted in the January 17 Daily Bulletin article, the Quest Program Team will be upgrading the existing Quest navigation structure to a more modern, tile-based experience.
- Jan. 14, 2019
During the February 2019 Reading Week, Quest will be updated to provide clients with a new navigation experience. The update will offer three new landing pages: one for students; one for instructors and advisors; and one for staff. The landing page(s) a user will see will depend on how their access is structured in Quest. For example, a student will see only one landing page, while a staff person who is also a student will see two. Users with access to multiple landing pages can quickly flip between them using a drop down at the top of the page.
