Alexander Wong

Ph.D.

His research interests primarily lie in artificial intelligence and computational imaging.  In the area of computational imaging, his focus is on integrative computational imaging systems for biomedical imaging (inventor/co-inventor of Correlated Diffusion Imaging, Compensated Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Spectral Light-field Fusion Micro-tomography, Compensated Ultrasound Imaging, Coded Hemodynamic Imaging, High-throughput Computational Slits, Spectral Demultiplexing Imaging, and Parallel Epi-Spectropolarimetric Imaging). In the area of artificial intelligence, his focus is on operational artificial intelligence (co-inventor/inventor of , generative synthesis, evolutionary deep intelligence, Deep Bayesian Residual Transform, Discovery Radiomics, and random deep intelligence via deep-structured fully-connected graphical models).

Xuezhi Yang received his B.Eng. degree from Anhui University, China, in 1992, the M.Eng. degree from Hefei University of Technology, China, in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong, China, in 2003. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is currently a professor in the School of Computer and Information at Hefei University of Technology. His research interests include image processing, pattern recognition, automated interpretation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery, and automated visual inspection system.

I received my B.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Tsinghua University, China in 1997, my M.A.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada in 2002, and my Ph.D. degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2006. I am currently working at Eutrovision inc, Shanghai, China.

Peter Yu

I am a researcher and developer with expertise in the areas of image processing, remote sensing and computer vision. I received BASc and MASc degrees in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2007 and 2009, respectively. After obtaining my MASc, I continued working with the VIP lab as a research associate from 2009 - 2010. Since 2010, I have been working in industry on image processing techniques for medical and remote sensing applications.

Bing Yue received her bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Hebei University of Technology, Tianjin, China, in 1991, and the M.A.Sc. degree in Systems Design Engineering as part of the VIP group in 2001. From 1991 to 1999, she was a part of the Remote Sensing Geology Department of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, Beijing, China, as an engineer. Since 2002, she was a Research Assistant with Noetix Research Inc., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, under contract with the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

I have received my BSCE in Computer Engineering (Hardware) and MSCS in Computer Science (Machine Intelligence and Robotics) both from the Computer Engineering and Information Technology Department at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 1999 and 2003 respectively.
