We are most proud to announce that Douglas Stenton, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anthropology, was among the 125 appointees to the Order of Canada on December 29th, 2017, cited “for his enduring contributions to the preservation of Canada’s northern heritage".

Götz Hoeppe, Associate Professor of Anthropology, was awarded the 2017 Melvin Pollner Prize in Ethnomethodology for his article “Working Data Together: The Accountability and Reflexivity of Digital Astronomical Practice”, which appeared in the journal Social Studies of Science.

On Thursday, October 9, 2014, Dr. Robert Park delivered an exciting public lecture in the ML Theatre of the Arts entitled, "Finding Franklin's Ships and other remnants of the 1845 Northwest Passage Expedition."
