Waterloo
Architecture
is
a
site
where
the
public
may
visit
in
this
year's
Doors
Open
event.
This
year,
Doors
Open
Waterloo
Region
will
focus
on
our
"built
region,"
with
the
theme
of
Places,
Patterns
and
Plans.
Come
and
explore
how
the
fabric
of
our
built
environment
is
woven
from
the
threads
of
urban
planning
and
land
use,
infrastructure
and
engineering,
public
spaces
and
transportation,
and
–
of
course
–
architectural
design.
Thirty-four
sites
in
our
cities
and
townships
–
most
of
them
not
normally
open
to
the
public
–
will
participate
in
our
16th
annual
event.
As
usual,
there
are
plenty
of
extras. Read
the
site
listings
closely
to
find
our
seven
talks,
an
architecturally
themed
art
exhibition
opening,
and
a
Doors
Open
kickoff
event
and
site
celebration
on
the
evening
of
Friday,
September
14,
held
in
partnership
with
the
Ontario
Heritage
Trust
and
Doors
Open
Ontario.
