School of Architecture students, Enoch Liu and Niara van Gaalen, created blueprints for potential Indigenous community hub for the redevelopment of the Charles Street Bus Terminal. They have been working together with Landback Camp to transform this space for the Indigenous community to connect and celebrate. They created a petition, which currently has over 3,000 signatures and is only growing. 

Christina Vogiatzis, a graduate student here at the School of Architecture, placed second out of more than 100 entries from 26 universities across the U.S. and Canada. Now in its fifth year, the competition invites interior design, architecture and furniture design  to create furniture pieces using Formica® Brand products. This year's theme called for students to express the future of design through a furniture piece using Formica® Laminate woodgrain products.

Living Dialogs is a podcast series presented by @lasg_research that brings together scholars and thinkers to collectively reflect on living architecture and its implications for our changing world. A remote ceremony has recognized Faculty of Engineering medal and award recipients, including Waterloo Architecture alum, Nashin Mahtani (BAS ’14 and MArch '15). 

As the director of the Indonesian nonprofit Yayasan Peta Bencana, Nashin Mahtani leads the development of software to support disaster relief.
