    • Preparing for the removal of TLS 1.0
    • Working group to look at guest WiFi access
    • New Arts First Faculty members

    • Working on Scinage widgets
    • Updating K-Lite Powershell script to display the version number
    • Helped connect laptop to projector in HH 373
  • Jessica
    • Helped Ana Ferrer and Randy Harris with Outlook problems
    • Looked into setting up printers for Sherri Anne Aresenault
    • Helped Mavis remotely access her iMac one last time
    • Made updates to CALMS script
  • Cynthia
    • Media Relations was able to get my smartsheet account fixed because it wouldn't let me save changes made in the Expertise Database after my thirty day free trial ended.
    • All Newsletter articles have been edited
    • All featured images for the ACO Newsletter have been created with GIMP
    • Emailed the "How to use Scinage" document to Troy from Science Computing because they currently do not have any documentation on using Scinage.

    • CALMS rollover import - error with new form changes
    • Francisco Gonzales (ECON) skipping rollover this year would like to purchase laptop dock and monitor instead
    • OFAS - meeting Oliver this coming Friday
    • If faculty grant- we will order machine for that faculty member- send to Keith
  • Sean
    • ECH Mac lab updates; Unity and Processing with 4 libraries deployed. Adobe CC 2018 packaged and will be deployed after Aug 2. Mac Pros in lab OS will be updated to supported versions at end of term as well.
    • traduire.uwaterloo.ca 18.04 server created for a French research project. First 18.04 production server.
    • Firefox, Chrome, Thunderbird and dropbox updated for Macs
    • enilsen setup with spare in PAS; taking over for lwarley while lwarley is on sabatical. lwarley's iMac will be stored.
    • Sent instructions to acohelp for getting Outlook on Windows 7 clients to use TLS 1.1/1.2 since mailservices disabled TLS 1.0 and connect likely will in the future.
    • Any machine that requires windows needs to be upgraded to Windows 10

    • 1803 upgrade should now be working
    • Enabled Offline files for laptop security group
    • Scott has packaged up TaxPrep versions and passed along to Mike Cocker for podium machines
    • Implementing Sean's instructions for Windows 7 to use TLS 1.1/1.2 today

    • Has acquired most requested equipment needed for Skype
  • Greg
    • Had a meeting with Psychology to go over various virtual desktop options. They were looking at leveraging what was available in IST. Wasn't a good fit for them due to the video requirements.
    • Converted mailbox slschair@uwaterloo.ca from a single mailbox to a mailbox controlled via security group. Group is arts-mbx-slschair. I initially thought it was a shared mailbox.
    • Did some support for SAF, they were less friendly then expected.

    • Bookings for ML 109 Murielle Landry
    • Will be checking out laptops to ensure they’re working
  • Will
    • Starting to test Microsoft Teams, part of Office 365, includes chat, document sharing. Similar functionality to Skype for Business, SharePoint, Mattermost.
    • Training is TBD, possibly using a cloud as an organizational system?
    • New SAS licenses are now available.
