Our labs

Who can use the labs?

Arts-maintained public labs are intended for:

  • Arts students and students taking Arts courses that require the use of software or other resources not available in their home faculty.
  • Courtesy use by other members of the UW community is at the discretion of the Arts Computing Office.

Bookable labs

The following labs can be booked for use by the Faculty of Arts and closely affiliated programs and groups. 

  • Classes and exams have priority in these labs.
  • Use of the labs for purposes not related to teaching and learning is restricted to Faculty of Arts needs.
  • Bookings are handled through Arts classroom scheduling processes.

Note: The booking schedule for the following labs does not show bookings more than 3 months in the past, i.e. In July 2020, the earliest you can see bookings is April 2020.

Please request one-off room bookings for ECH 1205, ML 113, and PAS 1237 through your departmental administrator, who will contact acohelp@uwaterloo.ca on your behalf.

Please indicate in the request booking details and note that classes should be requested via the Infosilem Data Collection Utility (DCU).
