    • 2015-16 budget: approved items include Crashplan Pro upgrade and expanded use, backup server updates, Cygnus storage redundancy, a new Dell blade server, and a large display for the new ACO common space
    • internal process documentation review beginning this term

    • Dean is working on appointment for Acting AD starting in July for one year
    • Hoping to try out eValuate in Spring 2015; details to be worked out

    • PAS 1098 and ECH 1205 Mac Labs upgraded to Yosemite
    • Disabled iCloud prompts at first login
    • Added required older Java package for Adobe Illustrator
    • Updated some Munki lab configuration settings, including location for Apple updates
    • Ready to upgrade Stratford lab systems when we get go ahead from Mark
    • Removed non-existent printer definitions from nxsartsapp. Waiting for grad printers to be moved from q_arts before removing XAS queue.
    • Reconfigured some printers who were pointing to artsprint
    • Ursa replacement caused ssh authorization failures on our Ubuntu servers - reset the krb5.conf settings to point to another server (galene) by IP address (129.18).
    • Committee to look at Student Email in the Cloud has been struck and had its first meeting

    • ECONGRAD lab imaging and Linux request. Linux workstations will not be supported by ACO at this time.
    • Matlab license deployed for Margaret Insley was only for student use. The proper way to reinstall was by going through the IST webstore to download the software using their login. She also had trouble with the wireless and using the Eduroam CAT tool worked. The CAT tool does not currently work on Macs.
    • Deployed rollover laptop to Jill Tomasson (DRAMA)
    • Setup laptop for new professor Heather Whiteside (POLSCI)
    • Re-imaged the laptop used by the department in DRAMA for Ceylan Turkeri.
    • Setup shared mailbox (dramaadv@uwaterloo.ca) for Ceylan and Jennifer Robets-Smith
    • Assisted Doris Jakobsh (RS) who was out of the country in using VPN & remote desktop

    • Lots of Course Approval Form (CAF) updates for Julie Mulvey
    • Chrome, Firefox, Flash, Silverlight, Acrobat Pro, Adobe Reader, Office updates pushed out to managed Macs. Adobe Reader no longer has full installers: pushing out patches now. Adobe Direct Cloud is version 12. People are being encouraged to use Adobe's cloud services.
    • Updates to Arts Research Database with department selection changes. response rate good, will make some data available to other researchers in Fall. Waiting for list of what to share with whom.
    • Wordpress vulnerability with genericons, part of default shipping theme. Cleaned up and updated all our Wordpress sites when patch released.
    • New Wordpress sites setup for gamestudies101.com and arts101.uwaterloo.ca
    • Woodbuffalo (social prosperity) clean up. Three returned 2011 T420's are now in surplus room and may make good loaners. Nancy is returning to Advancement office.

    • Handling new and old computers in usage statistics script. Will make updates to the database on a weekly basis.
    • Old computers in Nexus script and cleanup. Machines given to co-op students are difficult to identify. We will rename these systems to match current standards including ACO number.
    • Getting information on computers not seen by Nexus in 180 days to follow up on.
    • Working on automating SCCM failure collections. We will see the full set of software we're deploying once this work is complete.
    • Cleaning up Psych GPO deployments and moving to SCCM where the software is available.
    • Followed up with Efrim Boritz about uwcisa. He is seeking assistance upgrading ths server before end of Windows Server 2003 support.

    • New Coops Sarah and Darius; Chris is back from last Fall.
    • SEP to SCEP conversion. Starting to see things SEP didn't find or didn't report on.
    • MatLab, SPSS, AMOS, MikTek installed via SCCM. Compliance is high. Two packages remain using tuque.
    • Skype 7.4, Audacity 2.1.0 + LAME updated via SCCM.

    • Pascal Lectures WCMS site goes live today. Jeff Voskamp is handling the redirects from the old site.
    • PGSA Wordpress live last week.
    • web-archive-group WCMS site is now live.
    • ACO fob updated for more classrooms. If additional access is needed, Lisa or ITMS can arrange.
    • New Custom Field on ACO-AcctReq queue: "Accounts Complete"
    • Preparing Bomgar demo for next Thursday
    • Newsletter mailing list was cleaned up in April. It now contains lists (faccus, artsstaff, artsfac) and a small number of individuals.
    • Chromebox to replace self help site. Darius and I meeting with Jack Truong June 3rd.
    • FACCUS/IT support Bombshelter event May 28
  • Todd
    • Staff for Spring term: 3 supervisors
    • Lab TAs access has been assigned
    • Chair arm caps in ML 117 awaiting matching screws for replacement.
    • Log ins for Spanish lab: 4 students were unable to log in and used guest accounts for their tutorial. No report on the details of the error message. Todd will attend at the tutorial next week.
    • Renison booking ML 113 next Monday.
