Billing Procedure
- Laboratories using per hour rates will be billed quarterly, by journal entry debit of their research accounts
- All laboratory principle investigators must provide research account number(s) for this purpose
- Service will not be provided if outstanding balance not clear from previous billing.
The FACS Fusion instrument is only operated by the Facility Operator/Manager. All billing is for hours of service, and includes machine set up time, running of control stained samples and setting of sorting gates, sorting or running of samples and reporting of experimental results as necessary.
Fees
Waterloo faculty primary investigators:
- Hourly Rate: $85.00 per hour for analysis (subject to time limits stated above).
- Aseptic sorting or non-aseptic sorting: $100.00 per hour, the whole system will be flushed with 70% ethanol for sterilization then 1X sterilized PBS (aseptic sorting) to ensure relatively aseptic condition for cell culture, or 1X PBS (non-aseptic sorting).
Off-campus users:
- $100.00 per hour (subject to time limits stated above).
- $120.00 per hour for sorting (Aseptic or non-aseptic).
