The plant growth facility combines a 5,000 square-foot greenhouse with 27 controlled environment units to facilitate graduate student and faculty research. It is supported with equipment such as high intensity discharge (HID) lighting, mist system, pH and electrical conductivity meters and a new LICOR photometer to provide consistent growth conditions necessary for experimental research. The recent acquisition of a chamber specifically designed for Arabidopsis growth has added greatly to the quality of equipment for plant research.
