2025 Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology (OUPFB)
Please be advised that there is still uncertainty around whether these courses will run due to enrolment numbers. We will update this website to reflect changes as needed. Waterloo has reserved spots in the following modules:
- Module 2: Ecology of Spring (April 28- May 10)
- Module 4: Belize Rainforest and Reef (confirmed dates and cost: May 5- May 17, $3,500; fees are due April 5)
- Module 6: Dolphin and Whale Biology and Conservation in Tropical Asia (May 11- May 25)
- Module 8: Behavioural Ecology of Bats (May 20- June 3)
- Module 13: Western and Indigenous Perspectives on Biting Flies in Algonquin Park (July 27- Aug 9)
- Module 16: Experimental Studies in Marine Biology (Aug 16- Aug 30)
- Module 18: Environmental Changes in Lake Ecosystems (Aug 17- Aug 31)
- Module 19: Land & Sea, Tropical Research in Jamaica (Dec 27, 2025- Jan 10, 2026)
To apply, please go to the OUPFB website, fill out the Application Form, and submit the application form to Mrs. Sue Whyte (sdwhyte@uwaterloo.ca). Your completed application form, and a $350 deposit is due on January 25, 2025.
Your deposit will be returned to you, if we cannot place you in a course.
We will be hosting an information session on Thursday January 16, STC 2002 at 4:00pm
