Prof. Anna Klinkova has been named as this year's recipient of Nano Ontario's Award for Outstanding Early-career Achievements in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Ontario.
Professor Anna Klinkova's research is focused on developing efficient and scalable synthetic approaches to advanced nanomaterials for applications in sustainable energy and catalysis.
Since joining Waterloo in 2017, she has distinguished herself as a world-class researcher with 20 publications in top-tier journals such as Nature Communications and Nature Catalyst. She is active in the research community, training over 40 young researchers, as well as serving on several boards such as the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology, and advocating for diversity in STEM. She will deliver her award lecture entitled, "Catalyst design and reaction mechanisms in sustainable electrochemistry," next Tuesday at the 2022 Nano Ontario 12th annual conference at Wilfrid Laurier University.
