CHEM 310L

Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory 2

The aim of this laboratory is to provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and practical experience in the area of inorganic chemistry. The experiments are designed to illustrate methods of synthesis of transition metal compounds. The students gain practical experience by characterizing their synthesized compounds using techniques, such as Infrared (IR), Ultraviolet–Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS), and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). The selected experiments study theories and concepts, such as molecular obital theory and 18-electron rule.
