CHEM 313L

Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory 1

  • Textbook: CHEM 313L laboratory manual (available through LEARN).

An introduction to synthetic inorganic chemistry laboratory. The experiments explore concepts related to the structure and bonding of inorganic compounds. The experiments are designed to illustrate methods of synthesis and characterization of inorganic compounds using wet chemistry and solid state techniques, and to provide hands-on experience with important techniques such as molecular modelling, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and Infrared (IR) and Ultraviolet–Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS).
