Abstract: I will present some recent results on graphs having precisely three eigenvalues. In particular, I will present the case when such graphs have only two different valencies and the case when the second largest eigenvalue is at most 1.

Abstract: We introduce "framework" matroids which generalize graphic matroids. Our class also includes other interesting matroids such as lifts of graphic matroids and frame matroids. The recognition problem for these better known subclasses is likely to be intractable, but the problem of recognizing framework matroids looks more promising.
