On January 18, the Faculty of Mathematics launched its 50th Anniversary Launch Celebration. The event featured stories about the Faculty's first decade from a panel chaired by Professor Steve Brown.

The Faculty of Mathematics 50th Anniversary Celebration coincides with the C&O Department's 50th Anniversary, and with the centenary of Professor William Tutte (1917-2012). As part of the celebration, the C&O department will be hosting three events:

  • Tutte Lecture Series, May 5-Aug 18, 2017.
  • IPCO 2017 (Integer and Cominatorial Optimization), June 24-28, 2017.
  • SiGMa 2017 (Structure in Graphs and Matroids), July 17-21, 2017
