Update on research activities for for graduate students

Update for graduate students

As a follow up to the Resuming limited campus operations in provincial COVID-19 Red zone memo that you received yesterday, we are writing to provide an update on graduate student research activities at the University.

If your research takes place in an on-campus laboratory with an approved safety plan, those research activities can continue.

Update for undergraduate students

  • The Region of Waterloo is now in the Red – Control zone of the province’s COVID-19 framework
  • Limited in-person course activity will resume on February 22
  • Some campus services and operations will resume to pre-holiday break levels

Update for students

  • In-person learning that was previously suspended for the stay-at-home order will resume on Monday, February 22, pending confirmation of the government’s instructions. 
  • We strongly advise you to avoid any travel over reading week.
