Award description:
An award, valued at $2,000, will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in the Master’s program in the School of Optometry & Vision Science in the Faculty of Science. Selection is based on academic excellence in their current program. Preference will be given to Doctors of Optometry, followed by students with international optometric education. This fund is made possible by a donation from Kristine Dalton to encourage trained optometrists to pursue research leading to clinical discoveries in the field of Vision Science.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
- Full-time graduate students registered in the Master’s program in the School of Optometry & Vision Science in the Faculty of Science.
- Selection to be based on academic excellence with a preference given to Doctors of Optometry, followed by students with international optometric education.
- Application is not required.
- The School of Optometry and Vision Science will identify candidates and select recipients normally each Winter.
