Award description:
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition is an annual university-wide competition for research-based Master's and Doctoral students at the University of Waterloo. Competitors have one static slide and three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research to a non-specialist audience. Participants in department or Faculty-based heats may qualify to receive a monetary award. Selection will be made by a panel of judges in the department or Faculty as appropriate.

The winners must be University of Waterloo graduate students registered in a research-based program, and must have participated in either their department-based or Faculty-based heats of the 3MT University of Waterloo competition.
