Award description:
A scholarship, valued at up to $3,750, will be awarded annually to a graduate student registered full time in the Department of Biology, who is conducting research in zoology. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent) over the last two full-time academic years. The Department of Biology will identify and select a recipient annually in the Winter term. This fund is made possible by a donation from the J. Frank Brookfield Trust to support exceptional students studying zoology.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
- Full-time graduate students registered in Biology in the master's or doctoral program in the Department of Biology in the Faculty of Science;
- Selection to be based on academic achievement (minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent over the last two full-time academic years) and students conducting research in zoology;
- Application is not required;
- Department of Biology will identify candidates and select recipients normally each Winter (March/April).
