Conduct electrical and computer engineering research at the cutting edge of quantum information science.
With the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) as a world-leader in quantum information research, Waterloo is becoming known as “Quantum Valley” – the epicentre of the next information revolution.
In this program, you will work under the supervision of an Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty member, while gaining perspectives from other disciplines in IQC. Once you have reviewed faculty members and research areas, contact potential academic supervisors conducting research in your area of specialization. It is your responsibility bring your performance and record to the attention of those faculty members under whom you would like to work.
Waterloo Engineering offers this collaborative program to Master of Applied Science (MASc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students in Electrical and Computer Engineering. You may need to take additional courses to fulfill requirements in quantum information.
