SERS Adjunct Professor Don Cowan and his colleague Kyle Young recipients of the Award of Merit of the volunteer Action Center

SERS Adjunct Professor Don Cowan and his colleague Kyle Young where presented with an award for their work with the local, provincial and national volunteer community. The AWARD of MERIT of the Volunteer Action Centre was presented at the 12th Annual Volunteer Impact Awards Gala on April 27th.

The award was in recognition of their pioneering work over the last 12 years with volunteer matching software, which was originally developed at the University of Waterloo in 2005 and is now made available through a UW spinoff VolunteerAttract. This same software is used by the University of Waterloo Federation of Students Volunteer Centre.
