Artist talk by Janet Briggs

Tuesday, November 1, 2016 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

Brooklyn-based Janet's Brigg's solo exhibition opens November 3rd at the University of Waterloo Art Gallery (UWAG) so students will have the opportunity to see the work first-hand.  Janet works primarily in video, photography and performance. Images of individuals in extreme landscapes or situations populate her work and "she has captured such events as speeding motorcycles on the Bonneville Salt Flats, Olympic synchronized swimmers in their attempts to defy gravity, kayaks performing a synchronized ballet in Arctic waters, sulfur miners inside an active volcano, and a camel caravan crossing the Taklamakan desert of Western China.” - http://jbiggs.com/bio.html
