Lumen 2024 features works by Computational Digital Art students

The University of Waterloo offers the 3rd-year studio course CS/FINE 383, which gives students an opportunity to channel their technical skills towards artistic endeavors. Lumen 2024 festival presents Pixellation, a showcase of works from the Winter 2024 course offering.

Artists Georgia Berg, Hannah Choi, and Rayhan Moidu display work that involves the use of computer vision, generative agents, distributed computing and more. Special thanks from the artists go to Professor Daniel Vogel for being an excellent mentor in computational arts.

The display can be found in the vintage Airstream trailer at the Visitor and Heritage Information Centre, 10 Father David Bauer Dr, Waterloo on September 21 from 6 to 11 pm. Pixellation is presented by Student Art Innovation Lab (S.A.I.L.), University of Waterloo, Faculty of Arts
