Chris Williams received an Oscar nomination for ‘The Sea Beast’

The latest animated film by Fine Arts Alum Chris Williams (BA '90) has been nominated for an Academy award in the Best Animated Feature category. The Netflix feature “The Sea Beast” is the story of legendary sea monster hunter whose life is turned upside down when a young girl stows away on his ship and befriends the most dangerous beast of them all.

Chris has previously received an Oscar as co-director of Disney’s “Big Hero 6” (2014) and been nominated for both “Bolt” (2008) and “Moana” (2016).

The 95th Academy Awards take place March 12 in Hollywood.
