The work of Fine Arts faculty member Cora Cluett is part of the Windsor-Essex Triennial of Contemporary Art for the Art Gallery of Windsor.  The exhibition will run until at least October, depending on government restrictions.

Curated by Ray Cronin and Lucas Cabral, the 2021 Windsor-Essex Triennial of Contemporary Art focuses on the theme of conversations. Interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, we at the AGW were forced to rethink and reconsider how we can continue having critical conversations that matter to our community. Despite this uncertainty, however, art practices continued, getting richer and more varied as artists adapted to keep critical conversation active in an unprecedented time. As such, the Windsor-Essex Triennial of Contemporary Art set out, as a starting point, to see what artists in Windsor-Essex — and beyond — were in conversation about, and why.

These sixteen artists and their works speak more profoundly and with more authority than can be contained within the walls of our gallery. As their art is exhibited and conversations are explored, their work transcends our physical spaces and reaches out into our wider community — sparking new ideas, creativity, and connection in a time when so much has kept us apart.
