Fine Arts alumna Amara Pope researches Drake for her PhD thesis.

Fine Arts alumna Amara Pope (BA 2015 majoring in English and Fine Arts with a digital media specialization) is currently pursuing her PhD at Western University focusing on Drake and his successful use of self-branding different identities to connect to different communities.

Following her Undergraduate studies at Waterloo, Amara pursued a Master's degree at Wilfrid Laurier in Communication Studies focusing on identity politics through the medium of music videos.
