Since 2008 the Fine Arts Department has partnered with the Region of Waterloo to display a few, select works of art from the 4th year graduating exhibition to display in Regional buildings for the following year. The program took a short hiatus during the pandemic, and restarted this year with work now hanging in the Region of Waterloo Library’s Ayr branch until April 2025.
The art was selected earlier this year by a jury of Public Art Advisory Committee. Funding artists’ work is an important part of the program – each artist is receiving $450 for the loan of their work. The program also supports these artists with professional development and an opportunity to enhance their career.
