pieces of you are pieces of me, Fine Arts faculty member lois andison’s new show, opens at the Olga Korper Gallery on Saturday June 15.  The exhibition runs until July 20, 2024.

pieces of you are pieces of me is a homage to the interconnectness of all life. In both text and photo-based works andison centers stewardship by positioning the artist as creator, collaborator, and caretaker. She unpacks female labour, often unacknowledged and uncredited, in speculative narratives that pertain to a dying world. Finding discarded mussel and oyster shells andison formulates a means to (re)give them agency in her kinetic sculptures to celebrate their extraordinary beauty and resilience.

Opening reception: Saturday June 15,  2 – 5 pm

Artist Talk: Saturday July 6, 2 pm
