I will be working in their textile studio, continuing to explore notions of gender, identity, role-playing, pleasure, relationships, and the female experience through crochet, fibre arts, and performance. I intend on exploring these topics through the lens of ecofeminism, drawing comparisons and mending the divide between nature and culture from a feminist perspective.

Artist
Program
at
Mississauga
has
been
created
to
provide
opportunities
for
a
blend
of
recent
graduates
of
arts
and
design
institutions,
as
well
as
mid-career
artists,
to
create,
explore,
learn
and
exchange
ideas
and
insights,
within
a
multi-disciplinary
environment.
Professional
development
activities
include
participating
in
exhibitions,
teaching
and
assisting
opportunities
as
well
selling
work
in
the
gift
shop
and
contributing
to
special
events
and
festivals.
