TESS MARTENS: From Fear, Fixation & Failure

Tess will speak about the perseverance needed to become an artist. She is committed to performance art and to painting, and is obsessed with taking risks, finding loopholes, and exploring boundaries. Tess will talk about her art practice and its ties to mental health and her life experience.
Each talk starts Friday at 12:00 noon, with a 10 minute introduction, a 30 minute talk by the featured speaker, followed by questions. The session ends with an open mic for those who want to make a quick pitch for collaborators, resources, support. The event continues as a networking lunch, where you can talk to the presenters and other members of the community.
