This exhibition Unsettling seeks to unsettle its site––the Doris McCarthy Gallery, the campus of U of T Scarborough, and the suburb of Scarborough itself. It probes themes ranging from the indigenous history of Scarborough to the proliferation of modernism, from immigration to urban sprawl, the underlying tensions between ecology and human intervention and the contradictions in the celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary.

The exhibition, which runs June 22 - July 22 and September 5 - October 21, features work by Basil AlZeri, Lori Blondeau, Duorama (Paul Couillard & Ed Johnson), Terrance Houle and Lisa Myers.

More information about Unsettling is available on the Doris McCarthy Gallery website.  An interview with Bojana Videkanic is posted on the University of Toronto Scarborough website.
