Painting studio

The department’s painting and drawing studios are located in East Campus Hall (ECH) 1218 and 1224. Students enrolled in these classes have 24-hour access to these studios. In addition, painting students are given space within the classroom to leave work in progress. The department also has 40 Klopfenstein Pro Easels and a ventilated, enclosed spray booth.

  • Paper (Stone Henge, Maid Stone, Terraskin, Japanese Kozo, Mylar, Art Print Vellum and others)
  • Plexiglass, copper and 3/8” birch plywood
  • Canvas (on the roll)
  • Digital Printing (on the Epsons 9890)

  • Drawings materials (conte, ink, charcoal pencils, permanent marker)
  • Paints and mediums (oil, acrylic, retarder, gloss medium, Gamsol)
  • Gesso
  • Brushes
