Data-Driven Learning: Can and Should Language Learners Become Corpus Linguists?

Join Nina Vyatkina (Associate Professor of German and Applied Linguistics at the University of Kansas) as she discusses the use of large digital textual databases in the second language classroom. She believes that these corpora can form the basis of classroom activities that help students learn. Her talk will provide an overview of current research in this area as well as point out future directions for studying the use of corpora in classrooms.
