The award, valued at a minimum of $3,000 will be awarded annually to a full-time UW graduate student registered in the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts. The scholarship can be awarded to a student who holds an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) which requires a matching component or can be given to a student on the basis of scholastic excellence and who is not concurrently receiving Tri-Agency funding (i.e. Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)). This scholarship has been established in memory of Dr. Murray Brown whose generous estate gift provided the funds to endow this award and support future psychology graduate students at the University of Waterloo.
May be paid as the institutional matching funds for an OGS or a QEII-GSST.

Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
