An award, valued at approximately $2,500 is awarded annually to a full-time or part-time graduate student enrolled in the Master of Taxation program in the School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts who demonstrates a strong and consistent academic performance.
Full-time students must have completed four courses during their fall term and be enrolled in four courses for spring term. Part-time students must have completed two courses in each of the fall and winter terms and be enrolled in two courses for the spring term.
To be considered, students must complete the Graduate Student Award Application and attach a short reflection (maximum 500 words) describing their learning experience in the program and why they are a candidate for this award.
This fund is made possible by a donation from the Frank and Azniv Lochan Family Foundation.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
