A scholarship valued at $2,500 is provided annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in the Master of Accounting program at the School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts on the basis of academic achievement and extracurricular involvement in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. Interested students must submit an application each year. Applicants should contact the School of Accounting and Finance for more details. This fund is made possible by a donation from the family and friends of John M. and Jim Harper in recognition of their support to the University of Waterloo.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
