Two scholarships valued at $5,000 will be awarded annually to full-time students pursuing graduate studies in the Faculty of Mathematics. Students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The scholarships will be awarded to graduate students on the basis of scholastic excellence and to those holding an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or another major external scholarship that requires a matching or enhancement component. If the match or enhancement becomes unavailable or a suitable recipient cannot be found, the funds will be paid out as a regular graduate scholarship. The scholarship has been established by Satish Rai, Chief Investment Officer, OMERS Public Markets.
Varies up to a maximum of $5,000 for 1 full award paid over 3 academic terms.
The University of Waterloo will identify candidates and select recipients normally each fall.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
