Through the EDGE platform, Mitacs Training provides professional skills development courses for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Workshops are available throughout the year and are designed to complement hands-on research skills and experience.
Mitacs also offers a variety of specialized virtual training courses on a variety of topics, including networking skills, project and time management, career planning, leadership skills, and more. Each course consists of an asynchronous, self-paced e-learning module, followed by a live, facilitated virtual session. Completing both awards participants with a certificate.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
