In less than three weeks, the University of Waterloo's 7th annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) season will commence with the first faculty-based heat, Electrical and Computer Engineering!
Over 200 graduate students have registered for the 2019 3MT competition and are working to perfect their three-minute presentations and their one static slide. Over the years, our 3MT competitors have told us about many unique ways that they have prepared their presentations, including:
All of this practicing results in outstanding presentations about the exciting research our graduate students are engaged in. The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
