On Tuesday, October 18, 2022 Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, in partnership with the Provost, hosted a dinner reception for fall 2022 doctoral graduates, their guests and supervisors. Held at Federation Hall, the event was the first of its kind, featuring a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, speeches and a photo slide show/videos submitted by the doctoral students and their supervisors. A highlight of the evening was a photo booth where guests could take graduation themed photos with fun props and a printed photo take away for each particpant.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
