Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs is excited to announce the launch of the Postdoc Engagement Liaison initiative. This new initiative will bring together postdocs from across the University of Waterloo to discuss new ideas and gain insight on a variety of topics that impact the postdoc experience such as events, communications, community building, and resources. Beyond discussion, the postdoc liaisons will also be directly involved in communicating with the broader postdoc community at Waterloo and leading events.
The first postdoc liaison meeting was held on May 21, where the liaisons unanimously agreed that they would like to see more faculty-specific postdoc supports and more postdoc orientation-style events to help with onboarding and adjusting to life at Waterloo. More updates will be coming soon as the conversation continues.
